Hammond Planetarium: “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening”

HFC will present “Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening: A Winter Star Talk” at the HFC Hammond Planetarium, located in Room J-102 of the Science Center (Bldg. J), starting Wednesday, Jan. 16.

The “Winter Star Talk” runs every Wednesday from Jan. 16 through Feb. 28 and every other Saturday from Jan. 26 until Feb. 23.

The Wednesday showtime is 7:30 p.m. on the following dates:
• Jan. 16, 23, 30
• Feb. 6, 13, 20, 27

The Saturday showtime is 3:00 p.m. on the following dates:
• Jan. 26
• Feb. 9, 26

The “Winter Star Talk” is narrated by the late Dale Van Dorp, better known as the “Voice of Dearborn.” Van Dorp served as an administrator in the cultural arts program at HFC for more than 20 years before turning to teaching.

After the “Winter Star Talk,” there will be a multimedia presentation about the planet Jupiter, the largest planet in the solar system.

Doors open 15 minutes before showtime and close promptly as the program begins. For safety reasons, HFC will not admit latecomers once the doors close. No reservations are necessary, and seating is available on a first come/first serve basis.
