An Evening of Arab Art and Poetry

In collaboration with the Center for Middle Eastern and North African Studies at the University of Michigan (U-M) in Ann Arbor, the HFC Arab Cultural Studies Program will hold An Evening of Arab Art and Poetry on Friday, March 15, at 6:00 p.m. in the Berry Amphitheater, located on the first floor of the ASCC (Building L).

Dr. Hashim Al-Tawil, HFC Professor of Fine Arts and Chair of the Art History Department, will speak about "The Forgotten History of Arab Art and Architecture." Dr. Samer Ali, U-M Associate Professor of Arabic Language and Literature, will speak about "Arabic Poetry as Martial Arts: The Case of Mutanabbi."
