Dominic Mancina places 7th nationally

HFC wrestler Dominic Mancina capped a great HFC wrestling career by finishing 7th in the national NJCAA championships in Council Bluffs, IA, March 2. The top 8 finishers in each weight class are recognized (see photo below).

HFC wrestlers who competed at National Junior College Athletic Association Wrestling Championships included:
• Hunter Lajiness, 125-pound weight class
• Santos Alvarez, 133-pound weight class
• Mike Bergmooser, 165-pound weight class
Dominic Mancina, 174-pound weight class
• Jacob Giorgi, 285-pound weight class

“I’m very proud of our wrestlers and the efforts of their coach, Grant MacKenzie, who’s really taken HFC’s wrestling program to new heights,” said HFC Athletic Director Rochelle Taylor.
