The Henry Ford College (HFC) Student Veterans Association (SVA) will host a Career and Community Resource Fair Friday, Nov. 16, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the Rosenau Conference Rooms, in the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC) (Building L on the main campus).

The event will include a brief ceremony honoring veterans at 11:30 a.m. This event is open to the public, and you are encouraged to attend.

"This Veterans day, we are holding an event to give back to those who have sacrificed," said Justis Colangelo, Marine Corps veteran, HFC student, and President, HFC Student Veterans of America. "Armed forces and military members continue to serve, and this is a way to aid them here at home."

The career fair will provide resources, support, employment opportunities, and advocacy for military service members, their dependents, and all military veterans.

“We greatly value and appreciate our veterans, as well as our past and current service members who have sacrificed so much for our country – especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Veterans are special to us. We want to support them as much as we can. We want them to succeed at HFC and in their personal and professional lives,” said HFC Student Activities Officer Cassandra Fluker.

This event is free and open to all military personnel, veterans, and the public, both on campus and in the community. The event is sponsored by the HFC Student Veterans Association, Office of Veterans Services, Office of Career Services, and Office of Student Activities (OSA).

There will be refreshments and a raffle. For questions or more information, contact the OSA at 313-845-9865.
