Hands shaped to form a heart, Make a Difference Day in the middle

National Make A Difference Day is held every fourth Saturday in October (Saturday, October 27, 2018). Millions of people across the country unite on a common mission of improving the lives of others. Please join HFC students, faculty, and staff as we go out into our local communities to make a difference. The Office of Student Activities has organized three great volunteer opportunities for Make a Difference Day. Prior registration is required.

Gleaners Mercado Food Hub 9:00 am - 1:30 pm 2826 Bagley Avenue, Detroit, MI 48216 Project: Assist clients with shopping and loading food into vehicles, stocking shelves, and cleaning. Vista Maria 9:00 am - 12:00 pm 20651 West Warren, Dearborn Heights, MI 48127 Project: Help prepare decorations for the holidays.

Detroit Rescue Mission - Soup Kitchen 10:00 am - 1:00 pm 3535 Third Street, Detroit, MI 48201 Project: Serve lunch to clients, pantry organizations, and help with prep and stock.
