Free on-campus charging station for your devices

Photo of cell phone charging station

As a courtesy to the College and in response to student requests, the Michigan National Guard has provided a cell phone charging station for HFC students to use, free of charge. The portable charging station is currently located in Computer Lab 2 on the first floor of the Welcome Center (Bldg. WC).

How does it work?

The charging station includes embedded charging cables that are common to most current portable electronic devices, such as cell phones and tablets. All you have to do is walk up to the charging station, plug in your device, and leave it plugged in long enough for it to achieve the level of charge you are seeking.

Security is up to you

This charging station belongs to the Michigan National Guard. Neither HFC nor the Michigan National Guard can be responsible for any loss or damage to your electronic devices. The charging station does not include any security, so please do not leave your electronic devices unattended.

This initiative was raised and supported by the HFC Operations Council, and Joyce Hovermale approached the Michigan National Guard about providing this service.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact Sgt. Brandon Saleh of the Michigan National Guard at (734) 560-1974.
