The "Chasing the Light" exhibition runs from Oct. 15 to Nov. 21 in the Sisson Gallery, located in the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center (Bldg. F).

An opening reception will be held Friday, Oct. 19, from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m.

"Chasing the Light" is a glimpse of 14-year experiment building upon the transitory and fleeting quality of storm cloud formations. Utilizing paint as the vehicle for documentation, each painting is a visual record of an ever-changing natural environment impacted by the drama of light. The work in "Chasing the Light" attempts to capture a fleeting moment in time while evoking an emotional response and challenging the imagination of the viewer.

Sisson Gallery hours are:
* Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
* Tuesday: 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
* Saturday, Nov. 10: 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

This exhibition and reception are free and open to the public. For questions or more information, contact Steve Glazer at (313) 845-6485 or sglazer@hfcc.edu.
