HFC Athletes Achieve Academic Success

HFC's Dept. of Athletics announces that 31 of its student-athletes performed well in their sports and in the classroom during the fall 2014 semester. These student-athletes achieved a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better, and earned the designation of member on the fall 2014 Hawks’ Academic Team.

Of the 31 student-athletes, 16 of them achieved a GPA of 3.5, while three achieved a GPA of 4.0. The three who’ve achieved a 4.0 are: Phoebe Cole (softball), Nolan Duvall (baseball) and Daniel Johnson (baseball).

“I am very proud of these 31 exceptional student-athletes. They clearly have their priorities straight, having put grades first, and have set an example for their peers,” said HFC Director of Athletics Rochelle Taylor.
