HFCC's Music Dept. will host the 2014 Spring Band Concert on Tuesday, April 15, at 8 p.m. at the Michael A. Guido Theater in the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center, which is located at 15801 Michigan Avenue in Dearborn.

Metropolitan Symphony Band: The largest community college concert band in Michigan, the Symphony Band includes HFCC music students, advanced placement high school students, students from neighboring universities and members of the community.

Symphonic Wind Ensemble: Known as HFCC’s “instrumental honors group,” the Symphonic Wind Ensemble features the top musicians from other HFCC bands, performing challenging compositions.

Choristers from the many outstanding choral ensembles at HFCC will perform with the bands. Their performances will include concert band marches by Karl King, Henry Filmore, and John Philip Sousa; Gustav Holst’s Second Suite in F; Percy Grainger’s Ye Banks and Braes O’ Bonnie Doon; and Sonatina for Band by Caesar Giovannini.
