Fall Pottery Boutique Nov. 20-22

The HFC Ceramics Club will hold its third annual Fall Pottery Boutique from Thursday, Nov. 20, through Saturday, Nov. 22, from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. throughout all three days at the Sisson Art Gallery on the main campus.

A preview/advance sale night will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 19, from 4:30 to 8 p.m. in the same location. Admission is $5, which goes to the HFC Ceramics Scholarship Fund.

This event will showcase the artistic talents of current HFC ceramics students and alumni, as well as local artists. The artistic talents of more than three dozen artists will be on display and available for sale. A robust selection of everyday functional ware, artistic and unique holiday pieces made of stoneware, terracotta and porcelain will be available for purchase, in addition to decorative home goods. Cash or credit cards are accepted.

“We are so excited to be hosting this event for the third consecutive year. This year’s boutique includes a roster of elite, professional Michigan artists whose work is exceptional and highly regarded in the field of ceramics,” said Steve Glazer, HFC fine arts instructor and head of the Ceramics program.

According to Glazer, 15 percent of up to $750 of sales for each artist will go to the HFC Ceramics Club.

This event is open to the public. Admission and parking are free. Refreshments will be available. For further information, contact Glazer at 313-845-6485 or sglazer@hfcc.edu.
