HFCC Jazz
HFCC Jazz

HFCC will present its 29th Annual Autumn Jazz Concert on Friday, Dec. 7, at 8 p.m., in the Adray Auditorium, located in the Mackenzie Fine Arts Center of the main campus.

The concert will feature performances by the HFCC Big Band, Blue Fusion, Studio 110, and Midnight Blue. It will include favorite big band and vocal jazz tunes of the past, as well as holiday songs performed in a fun swing style.

The accomplished vocal groups will perform challenging vocal arrangements, accompanied by an outstanding rhythm section. The instrumental groups promise to include great concert music for both younger and older music fans.

“I am extremely impressed with this year’s group of musicians. They are some of the most dedicated amateur and semi-professional musicians in southeastern Michigan. If one were to attend the concert and keep their eyes closed while listening, they would think these musicians were the big-time pros,” said Rick L. Goward, HFCC director of bands.

Tickets will be available at the door. The cost is $10 for adults, $7 for students and seniors. For advance tickets, e-mail Goward at rgoward@hfcc.edu.
