'The Playboy of the Western World,' written by John Millington Synge, takes an ironic look at working class Irish life, following a young farmer, Christy Mahon, who becomes a local romantic hero after boasting of killing his father, only to have his luck change when his father actually appears.

The play is directed by award-winning director Chris Bremer.

Also, later this fall HFCC’s Theatre for Young Audiences Program will present 'A Christmas Carol' by Charles Dickens from Nov. 13 to Dec. 6. There will be weekend performances for the public and special weekday matinees for schoolchildren in Wayne County.
