Henry Ford Community College will present the 21st annual autumn jazz concert and scholarship gala, on Saturday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. in the Adray Auditorium of the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center on HFCC's main campus, located at 5101 Evergreen Rd. in Dearborn.  Tickets are $9 for adults and $6 for students and seniors and available at the door, or in advance by calling 313-317-6566.

The concert will feature performances by Henry Ford Big Band, Blue Fusion (vocal jazz) and Studio 110 (Big Band jazz), and special guest, Brazil and Beyond (Contemporary Latin and Blues).

'This concert is used to thank our scholarship donors for the money that they have donated,' Rick Goward of Dearborn, associate dean of the Fine Arts and Fitness Division and director of bands at HFCC stated.
'A portion of the admission money goes to travel expenses and the scholarship funds for music.'

Directed by Goward, the Henry Ford Big Band's active performance schedule includes concerts, dance engagements and participation in jazz
festivals.  Directed by HFCC vocal music instructor G. Kevin Dewey
of Dearborn, Blue Fusion performs a variety of classic and contemporary vocal jazz, featuring both 'a cappella and accompanied selections.
Directed by HFCC music instructor Randall Knight of Canton, the Studio 110 Jazz Orchestra performs a wide selection of jazz favorites at many Detroit events.
