Join us for an optiMize Information Session on Tuesday, March 3, from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. in the Honors Hub (Room K-103) on the first floor of the Reuther Liberal Arts Building (Building K on the main campus).

An award-winning, student-led community at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, optiMize is a program that gives prospective transfer students the opportunity to learn how to create passion projects and ventures in which they can gain mentorship, community engagement, and networking opportunities.

During this session, optiMize Community Partnership Manager Dallas McGhee-Henry will explain innovation and entrepreneurship for interested students. At the end of their experience, students can pitch and win up to $10,000 to fund their project through optiMize. Students are eligible to participate in optiMize while attending HFC. In 2025, HFC alumna Alicia Jackson was rewarded $7,000 through optiMize to support her nonprofit work, DIME above the Line.

This event is co-sponsored by the Henry Ford II Honors Program, the Transfer Bridges to Michigan Program, and optiMize.

This workshop is free and open to HFC students. Please register at the link above. For questions or more information, contact Chardin Claybourne at cclaybourne@hfcc.edu.
