Salary potential exceeds $100,000
“Healthcare administration often provides higher starting salaries than many other sectors in the industry,” said Bailey.
While those with an associate degree can jumpstart their careers in roles like Patient Services Representative or Health Information Technician, with starting salaries typically ranging near $40,000, and the long-term growth is significant. If you earn a bachelor’s degree or higher, the average annual salary climbs to $118,000, reflecting the high value placed on excellent administrative leadership, Bailey noted.
“(HHS Dean) Dr. Cyndi Scheuer and I are thrilled to introduce this new program,” said Bailey. “Beyond our existing partnerships with Eastern Michigan University and Davenport University, we look forward to announcing further transfer partnership agreements. With a surging demand for expertise on the business side of healthcare, this program offers a vital pathway for career changers and current professionals seeking to specialize or advance. The possibilities in this field are truly vast.”
