Coffee & Careers: “Interview Strategies for Trades and Technical Students”
Register here for= Coffee & Careers on Feb. 4
Registration is recommended but not required
HFC Career Services will host its second Coffee & Careers workshop, “Interview Strategies for Trades and Technical Students,” on Wednesday, February 4, from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., in the Ghafari Conference Room (Room E-123) on the first floor of the Technology Building (Building E on the main campus).
Students in the trades and technical programs often have exceptional technical knowledge, but might be inexperienced in interviewing for jobs. This workshop focuses on soft skills development and teaches you what to say, and what not to say, during interviews. We’ll help you refine your approach so you can confidently transition into new roles or advance within your current job structure.
By attending this workshop, you will:
- Learn how to communicate your technical skills effectively.
- Understand employer expectations beyond technical knowledge.
- Gain practical tips for successful interviews.
Coffee & Careers is free and open to all students.
Coffee & Careers will give HFC students a chance to relax, have a cup of coffee (or you can bring your own beverage of choice), and meet with members of the Career Services team to talk about careers.
RSVP is recommended as space will be limited. Coffee will be served. For questions or more information, contact careers@hfcc.edu.
