Student Services Spotlight: College Store

The College Store (Building C on the main campus) is a central location at HFC to purchase textbooks, supplies, and HFC merchandise. It is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (It stays open longer during the first week of each semester).

Textbook information for HFC classes is available on the College Store website. The bookstore staff updates book information on the website daily. The Store encourages you to order online.

Methods of payment

  1. Financial aid - Students, please use any available financial aid for online purchases. You should check the Max Limit Available before selecting “Fin. Aid” as a payment method. If you do not have enough financial aid funding, we will have to cancel your order. You will need to provide a valid HFC student ID or another valid form of picture ID (i.e., a driver’s license) in addition to your HFC student ID number.

All orders placed with insufficient financial aid funding will be cancelled. Please note that you cannot use financial aid on the College Store website on Thursdays until the weekly refunds have been processed. This applies to Thursdays after the first refund process is run for the semester.

  1. Third-party sponsorships - You may use company-funded sponsorships, if available, for College Store purchases. These cannot be done online. We will be happy to help you at the Customer Service Desk in the back of the store.

  2. Credit cards and cash - The Store accepts credit card and cash purchases, both online and in-store.

Inclusive Access classes

If you are taking Inclusive Access classes, you will have access to your digital materials on the first day of class. The registration fees include your digital materials. You should not need additional materials except in limited cases, depending on the class. You will receive Inclusive Access information in your Hawkmail account 10 days prior to the start of classes for the semester.

Information on pick-up and shipping

The College Store offers in-store pick-up at no charge. You should wait until you receive email notification that your order is ready for pickup. We might need up to 72 hours to process orders based on volume, although most orders take less time.

  • You can pick up orders Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (regular business hours). We will need your name and order number for pick-up. Order pick-up is available in Aisle 4.
  • Pick-up customers should use the north entrance to HFC and park in Parking Lot 3, which is near the College Store.
  • We can ship your order via UPS Ground for $9.99 per order.
