June Course of the Month: Coaching to Develop Motivation

Observed annually on June 6, National Higher Education Day celebrates the vital role higher education plays in personal growth and career advancement. It’s a great reminder to reflect on our own goals and continue developing personally and professionally.
In that spirit, “Coaching to Develop Motivation” explores what motivates people and how coaching can help unlock your potential. It’s also a timely reminder that performance evaluations are due Friday, June 20, which is a great opportunity to assess strengths, set new goals, and support continued development.
Course Overview:
The month’s featured course focuses on identifying the characteristics of motivated individuals and introduces three key components of the "question style" of coaching. The course also helps learners recognize when someone is or isn’t motivated by looking at four key indicators:
- How well you perform – individually and within a team.
- Whether you take initiative to solve problems.
- Your ability to collaborate and find ways to improve performance.
- Your willingness to support and help others.
At the end, you'll take a 5-question quiz to reinforce what you've learned.
Why Participate?
Understanding how to coach for motivation leads to a more engaged and productive workforce. This course also enhances communication, supports stronger working relationships, and helps improve performance – individually and in teams.
