Volunteers needed for “Good Luck on Finals” event

Student Activities holds its “Good Luck on Finals” event every semester. Here are the dates for this event for Fall 2025:

  • Tuesday, December 9
  • Wednesday, December 10
  • Thursday, December 11
  • Friday, December 12

Cheering on students during finals

A “Good Luck on Finals” table will be reserved in different buildings all over the main campus. Faculty and staff volunteers will be set up throughout the week to hand out HFC-branded items, supplies, snacks, and positive messages to students.

“Final exams are often a stressful time for our students. This is our way of showing them our support and encouragement as they take their finals. The more departments that participate, the more impact we make, so please consider hosting a table if you can,” said Student Activities Associate Kayla Collins. “You can choose whenever and wherever works best for your department, but you should consider the areas with the most foot traffic when students typically have exams. Feel free to share with your colleagues who may be interested. If your department doesn’t participate, you can volunteer with other departments that do.”

How you can participate

Student Activities is looking for departments to host a table or volunteers to help at an existing table.

Hosting a table: Student Activities will reserve the table for you. Your department will be responsible for decorating the table, providing the giveaways, staffing the table, etc. If your department would like to participate, sign up on the form above.

Individual volunteers: Volunteer to help at a table hosted by another department.

Here is a list of some things we’ve had at tables in the past:

  • Snacks (chips, candy, granola bars, fruit, water bottles)
  • No. 2 pencils (pre-sharpened!)
  • Scantrons (a highly requested item)
  • HFC pens, hand sanitizers, fidget spinners, keychains, and other branded merchandise
  • Good luck messages or stress relief tips
