Career Services hosts four co-op information sessions

HFC Career Services will host four co-op information sessions in February and March – two will be in-person and the other two will be virtual.

The in-person co-op information sessions will be held on the following dates:

  • Monday, February 12, from 11:00 a.m. to noon in Room A-115 in the Learning Success Center (LSC) (Building A on the main campus).

  • Thursday, March 14, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in Room A-115 in the Learning Success Center (LSC) (Building A on the main campus).

The virtual co-op info sessions will be held:

Eligibility and benefits

To be eligible for the co-op program, you must:

  • Be working toward an associate degree at HFC. (NOTE: Criminal justice and health careers majors are currently not approved for co-op.)
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.5 in your major.
  • Have a minimum GPA of 2.0 overall.
  • Have completed 50% of your core classes.

The benefits of participating in a co-op program include:

  • Earning academic credit.
  • Gaining practical work experience in your chosen field.
  • Building your professional résumé.
  • Earning money.
