The WSJ Job Summit on Tuesday, April 12, from noon until 5:15 p.m. is open for HFC students and graduates.

The WSJ Jobs Summit is the creation of Wall Street Journal editor-in-chief Matt Murray. The pandemic was upending the employment landscape, prompting Murray to create this event to help those affected, including:

  • New graduates
  • Recently unemployed workers
  • Those thinking about changing careers

The job market has roared back to life with a record number of openings – and people quitting. In the era of “The Great Reshuffle,” the WSJ Jobs Summit will deliver expert advice and trusted insights on how to turn today's hot job market into a competitive advantage. Whether you're a recent graduate on the job hunt for the first time, a mid-career professional considering a change, or an experienced worker looking for negotiation tips, this full-day program will feature interviews and interactive workshops designed to help you succeed in the search.

Top 5 reasons to attend

The top five reasons to attend this summit include:

  1. Learning how to turn today’s hot job market into a competitive advantage.
  2. Watching a leading résumé advisor critique an attendee’s résumé in real time.
  3. Hearing from business leaders who can offer trusted career insight.
  4. Taking away a playbook for how to chart a new career path.
  5. Participating in workshops tailored to your challenges – from negotiation to burnout.

Attendees will take away the practical tools and trusted insight needed to navigate this new job market as either a first-time job seeker or leader helping students transition from campus to career.

For professionals taking this moment to consider a new career path, the summit will offer perspective and guidance from business leaders across industries.

If you’ve lost your job due to the pandemic, this is an opportunity to acquire the tools you’ll need to not only survive but thrive in this new job market.
