  • Friday, April 1
  • Friday, April 8
  • Friday, April 15
  • Friday, April 22
  • Friday, April 29

Is this workshop for you?

Ask yourself the following questions when taking exams: Do you…

  • Feel like you “go blank”?
  • Become frustrated?
  • Freeze up and become unable to perform well, despite how much you have studied?
  • Find yourself thinking “I can’t do this”?
  • Feel overwhelmed by anxiety – racing heart, difficulty breathing, upset stomach?
  • Suddenly remember the anxiety after turning in the test, believing that you performed poorly?
  • Score lower on tests than you do on homework and/or term papers?
  • Become distracted?
  • Feel the room closing in on you?
  • Miss important cues from your surroundings?
  • Forget what you are supposed to do?

If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, then this virtual workshop might be able to help.

Preparation is still key

Here are two important clarifications about the Stop Test Anxiety virtual workshops:

  1. The information in these virtual workshops can only be effective if you are well prepared for your exams. The Stop Test Anxiety workshops can help you manage nervousness and anxiety, but are not a replacement for studying and preparing for your tests and course subjects.
  2. For the workshops to be effective, facilitator Imad Nouri of the HFC Counseling Center highly recommends that you attend at least 2-3 workshops. He encourages you to attend as many workshops as you can.

To register for the Stop Test Anxiety virtual workshops:

Counselor Nouri will send you a Zoom invitation. Feel free also to email him for questions or more information.
