Learn various coping tools at the "Managing Loneliness When in Self-Isolation" virtual workshop on Tuesday, March 30.

It has been more than a year since the coronavirus pandemic changed the world in significant ways. Many of us have felt isolated and lonely, unable to travel, move around, do our normal activities, and see the people we care about.

Toronto-based Shift Collab – a leader in therapy and mental health education for highly-driven people and organizations whose mission is to make improving mental health simple, actionable, and relatable – will conduct a virtual workshop at HFC called “Managing Loneliness When in Self-Isolation” on Tuesday, March 30, at 3:00 p.m.

Social isolation can be lonely. Aside from endless video chats, how else can we find connection during this time of distancing?

This interactive workshop will examine where loneliness comes from, how it shows up for us, and what we can do about it during the COVID-19 era. Led by a clinical social worker, this session will provide a space for us to get real about how loneliness has impacted us and empower each of us to find connection in our disconnection.

This event is sponsored by the HFC Office of Student Activities, the HFC Office of Campus Safety, the HFC Office of Counseling, and the HFC Office of Student Conduct and Compliance and Title IX.
