The ECPP is essentially a 2-for-1 program. People can complete their high school education and earn their college credential at the same time. Eligible students will receive financial aid to earn a college certificate at HFC. They can also continue their education at the College to earn an associate degree, following regular financial aid procedures.

How to get started

To get started in the ECPP, complete the following steps:

  1. Enroll in a Dearborn Public Schools Adult Education Program to determine eligibility for ECPP
  2. Apply to HFC
  3. Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form
  4. Confirm program eligibility with an HFC ECPP advisor
  5. Complete and pass the Ability to Benefit (ATB) Test
  6. Meet with an HFC ECPP advisor to register for classes in one of HFC’s eight certificate programs
