Voter Education Town Hall with Bilal Hammoud
The Office of Student Activities is hosting a Voter Education Town Hall with featured presenter Bilal Hammoud on Thursday, October 15 at 3:00 pm – 4:30 pm.
Bilal Hammoud is the Public Engagement Associate for the Michigan Department of State (MDOS). He was appointed by Jocelyn Benson as the first Arab American to work in the Executive Office. His efforts are centered around developing the newly formed Office of Public Engagement. In his previous positions, Hammoud has served as the Project Manager for the City of Cheboygan leading efforts on the Michigan Main Street Project, Community Engagement Liaison with Forgotten Harvest combating food insecurity, and as the Community Relations Manager with Communities First, Inc. making strides to battle the housing crisis in Flint and Detroit.
Join us as Hammoud guides us through the website showing us how to register to vote online, how to request an absentee ballot, information about completing and submitting an absentee ballot, how to find out who your city clerk is and where their office is located at, options for voting this election, how to find out where your polling location is at, and much, much more.
