The Student Environmental Association (SEA) purchased “Remember… These Come from Trees” stickers to place on campus paper towel dispensers and encourage paper towel conservation. SEA believes small behavioral changes and mindfulness in our daily lives can have huge combined environmental impact.

With assistance from the HFC Facilities department, SEA placed these stickers on paper towel dispensers across campus. While the SEA can not verify the claim that each sticker saves 100 lbs of waste, one roll of stickers covering approximately 500 dispensers will serve as a campus-wide reminder to reduce waste on a daily basis.

Dr. Mary Parekunnel, director of Environmental Studies and SEA advisor, will use this student-driven initiative as a learning tool for students in environmental science courses.

To request a sticker for a vacant HFC dispenser, email greenideas@hfcc.edu. A sticker will be sent to you through campus mail.
