Dearborn's new brand launch is a step forward for our community

New Dearborn logo and creative

HFC has been an integral part of Dearborn since we opened our doors in 1938. We congratulate our home city, the City of Dearborn, as its leaders unveil its new brand, which will enhance Dearborn's position as a city of diversity, innovation, and connectedness. HFC shares these values, and is proud to be part of such a richly diverse community.

This branding initiative is rooted in gathering the perspectives of as many people as possible to create one cohesive story and visual identity for Dearborn and the districts that make up Downtown Dearborn. Driven by the goal of unifying Dearborn's assets under one brand to support economic growth and development, the comprehensive plan defines the eight unique business districts in Dearborn.

With a population of approximately 100,000 in Dearborn, the brand was further developed through the feedback of more than 1,900 community members and business owners, and was advanced by more than 30 stakeholders who took part in ongoing strategic planning efforts. This included leaders from the City of Dearborn, Dearborn's Downtown Development Authorities, the Dearborn Chamber of Commerce, and other major Dearborn institutions.

A welcoming community

"Dearborn is a very welcoming community with a strong sense of identity," said Dearborn Mayor John B. O'Reilly, Jr. "We’re proud that people from many backgrounds have chosen us as their home and place to engage with neighbors in so many different ways. We have what you need here, and you’re close to the best the region has to offer. We’re known for our innovation, and we’re taking yet another forward-looking step by encouraging people to promote how great it is to be part of the Dearborn community, whether you live here, work here, or invest here."

HFC President Russell Kavalhuna has a similar view. "Henry Ford College has always had a great relationship with Dearborn. The city is our home. Its values and characteristics mirror ours. Many of our students, employees, and alumni are proud to live here. My family and I are proud to live here," he said. "This new branding effort will help all of us share the strengths of this great city with the world."
