About Our Program

Do you see yourself working in a freshly-pressed suit in the midst of a bustling metropolitan hotel? Will you be planning parties and catered events in some of the best restaurants, hotels or catering venues? In what new ways will you attract guests to your property and keep them coming back?

Begin your journey or energize your career with a Hospitality Management credential and get on track to exceed your guests’ expectations. As an associate, lead, assistant manager or general manager, you have the opportunity to use your energy, attention to detail and refined manners in places like hotels, restaurants, bistros, casinos, resorts and destinations. At HFC, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop skills in the areas of front office and concierge, facilities maintenance and design, and marketing of hotels and hospitality operations;
  • Learn the basics of cooking, nutrition, menu development, food safety and cost control;
  • Practice business and communications skills by participating in the operations of a full-service restaurant, quick service café and campus catering operations;
  • Serve multi-course meals and beverages in the Fifty-One-O-One student-run restaurant;
  • Manage guest relations, serve wine & beer, perform table-side cooking; and
  • Gain on-the-job experience and put your knowledge into action with a paid internship at one of many local employers, including gourmet markets, restaurants, hotels, destinations, casinos, and catering venues.

Start today with a skills certificate and Serv-Safe food safety certification, complete an associate degree and then finish with the Bachelor of Science degree, all at HFC without the hassle of transfer, loss of credits, travel or paid parking associated with other more costly education and training options.
