Student Success Teams

A Student Success Team is a team-based support service model designed to ensure that students succeed from the moment of entry through completion. The goal of the Student Success Teams is to support students as they navigate their college experience and serve as the primary point of contact for all student inquiries, inside and outside of the classroom. HFC strives for every student to be assigned to a Student Success Team consisting of an Academic Advisor, Completion Coach, Faculty Chair, and Student Mentor.

Initiative Progress

  • Continue to seek input and guidance on the development of Student Success Teams (SSTs) from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify the focused group of students for the SST pilot project.
  • Identify the staff and faculty that will be members, as well as the leader of an SST. (In progress)
  • Design and provide training for the SST members. (In progress)
  • Design and implement a communication campaign for the SST that informs the College community and students what the SSTs are and why they are important. (In progress)
