Predictive analytics is the use of historical student data to predict future trends. We can use this data to identify events that may impact student outcomes and success rates. The data is housed within a student success management system, which allows us to monitor student progress, detect when students need support, and take quick action using automated tools.
Initiative Progress
- Identify and acquire a student success management tool or system with predictive analytics capabilities.
- Form a cross-functional implementation team to engage in system set-up and training. (In progress)
- Pilot the new system across various departments and obtain stakeholder feedback. (in progress)
- Provide training to all system end-users and institutionalize usage of the new system. (in progress)
- Evaluate and refine efforts as needed. (in progress)
