HFC will host its STEM Family Day on Saturday, April 13, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. starting at the Hammond Planetarium (Room J-102) in the Science Building (Building J on the main campus). The event is suitable for students of all ages from elementary school through high school, and their families. Children 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This event is for anyone interested or curious about exploring careers in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. Activities include:

  • Adventures in anatomy
  • Autonomous robots
  • Food chemistry
  • Mysterious minerals
  • Musical physics

"We designed it to be a day of discovery and delight. There's something for everyone at STEM Family Day, particularly for kids with curiosity," said HFC physics and astronomy instructor Jesse Mason.

Attendance is limited, so register today

This event is free and open to the public. Please park in Parking Lots 8-12 on the south side of the main campus at 5101 Evergreen Road in Dearborn.

A delicious buffet lunch catered by Baba’s Grill will be served at noon in the John McDonald Student & Culinary Arts Center (Building M on the main campus).
