Drafting / CAD

About Our Program

Behind every vehicle part and manufacturing process is a design and model created using drafting principles and techniques that can only be mastered through hands-on interactive learning. Unlike other colleges, HFC’s Industrial Drafting Program places students in a simulated work environment for a seamless transition from the classroom to the workplace.

Through project-based learning, students will take on real world projects and use industry-standard software to gain the design and visualization skills they need to be successful in the manufacturing industry, as well as the soft skills needed to communicate and collaborate effectively in the workplace.

Students with an interest in mathematics and visualization who enjoy problem-solving are a perfect fit for the Computer-Aided Design (CAD)/Industrial Drafting program. They will explore all areas of CAD design and drafting, preparing them for careers as CAD Designers, Industrial Detailers, CAD Technicians, Mechanical Drafters, etc.
