Seth Amadei, a New Jersey native, earned his Master of Fine Arts from Wayne State University's Hilberry Theatre in 2003. He joined Henry Ford College in January 2026 and serves as Technical Director and Arts Coordinator for the MacKenzie Fine Arts Center, where he specializes in lighting and sound design.

From 2012 to 2025, Seth served as Technical Director and Production Manager of the Marlene Boll Theatre at the Boll Family YMCA in downtown Detroit, where he oversaw more than two dozen productions annually. He was also the resident lighting designer for the University of Detroit Mercy Theatre Company from 2013 to 2026.

His design credits include nearly 100 professional theatre and dance productions spanning three decades. In recognition of his work on the University of Detroit Mercy's 2021 production of Antigone, Seth received a national award for excellence in lighting design from the Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival.
