Mission and purpose of Marcom and how we can help you
The Henry Ford College Division of Marketing and Communications drives experiences of relevance and value to increase the visibility, enhance the reputation, and advance the student and employee success mission of the College.
In practical terms, this means we are responsible to advance the Henry Ford College brand and reputation for everyone who encounters us. We help make sure our public communications and materials are clear, accurate, and professional. Our professional standards include creating, content, design, presentation, and distribution. We do all this in partnership with our HFC community.
Externally, our goals are to:
- Support enrollment and the growth of community, alumni, business, and civic partnerships and advocacy.
- Encourage public and private investment in the College based on demonstrated value to our region.
We build the College's brand and community connections by sharing the authentic stories of our broad community of students and faculty, and by promoting and extending the educational, cultural, artistic, and community services that demonstrate the College's commitment to our region.
Internally, our goals are to:
- Support employees and students through excellent services and experiences that help them reach their goals.
- Generate belonging, hope, creative expression, and meaningful connections.
Along the way, we provide a variety of services. We establish high-quality College-wide marketing and communications standards and experiences. We also offer tools, resources, and guidelines to help our College partners.
We are proudly a service organization.
Each of us strives to hold ourselves to the highest standards of integrity, equity, empathy, excellence, service, and supportive teamwork.
