Graduation and Transfer-Out Rates

Graduation and transfer-out rates are reported on for the first time for any college degree-seeking students who enroll full-time during their first semester at HFC. These data are reported to IPEDS, the Integrated Postsecondary Data Education System, during the spring of each year. The following are the IPEDS reported data for the past three years.

The graduation rate is the percentage of these first-time full-time students who complete their program (graduate) within 150% of the expected time. Most associate degree programs are designed to be completed within two years ideally, so completion within 150% of the expected time would be within three years of starting. Certificate programs are designed to be completed within a year, so completion within 150% of the expected time would be within two years of starting at HFC.

The transfer-out rate is the percentage of these full-time first-time students who transfer to another college or university without graduating within about three years of first attending HFC.
