Graduation and Transfer-Out Rates

Graduation and transfer-out rates are reported on for the first time for any college degree-seeking students who enroll full-time during their first semester at HFC.

The graduation rate is the percentage of these first-time full-time students who complete their program (graduate) within 150% of the expected time. Most associate degree programs are designed to be completed within two years ideally, so completion within 150% of the expected time would be within three years of starting. Certificate programs are designed to be completed within a year, so completion within 150% of the expected time would be within two years of starting at HFC.

The transfer-out rate is the percentage of these full-time first-time students who transfer to another 4-year college or university without graduating within about three years of first attending HFC.
