ASTR-131: Descriptive Astronomy and ASTR-133: Introductory Astronomy Laboratory are ideal for the student with little or no prior scientific or mathematical experience who wishes to explore astronomy or science in general, as well as for students preparing to be secondary school science teachers. ASTR-133: Introductory Astronomy Laboratory can be taken as the lab-component for ASTR-131: Descriptive Astronomy.
Students interested in majoring in general science should consider completing the Science Associate in Science degree. This program gives students the option to complete science courses that align with their interests, strengths, or personal goals.
