Pre-Education Program Transfer Advising Session for Students

Henry Ford College will host a University Pre-Education Program Transfer Advising session for prospective and current Pre-Education majors on Wednesday, Oct. 26. Nine universities will be in attendance.

HFC will host a University Pre-Education Transfer Advising Session for prospective students and HFC Pre-Education majors on Wednesday, Oct. 26, from 9-11:30 a.m. This event takes place on the first floor of the Andrew A. Mazzara Administrative Services & Conference Center (ASCC, Bldg. L on the main campus) in the Rosenau Conference Rooms. This event is free and open to all prospective students interested in learning more about Pre-Education.

The purpose of this session is to assist prospective and HFC Pre-Education students with transfer options, and help them decide which four-year university is best-suited for them and their career aspirations upon graduating from HFC.

The four-year colleges and universities attending are as follows:

  • Eastern Michigan University (EMU);
  • Ferris State University;
  • Madonna University;
  • Michigan State University (MSU);
  • Siena Heights University (SHU);
  • The University of Detroit Mercy (UDM);
  • The University of Michigan – Ann Arbor (U-M);
  • The University of Michigan – Dearborn (UM-Dearborn); and
  • Wayne State University.

Students need to dress professionally and must bring a copy of their transcript(s) – official or unofficial. They also need to bring a dozen 3x5 index cards that contain their name and contact information (phone number, email address, home address). They also need to list their area(s) of educational interest on these cards.
