Financial Aid Census Date for winter 2014

For students who receive a Federal Pell Grant, your eligibility for Pell Grant is determined by reviewing your enrollment as of the Financial Aid Census Date. Students are strongly encouraged to finalize their course schedule on or before the Census Date.

If You Are Currently Enrolled for Winter 2014
If you are currently enrolled, your Pell Grant eligibility will be determined based on the classes for which you are enrolled as of Jan. 28, 2014. Any classes dropped before that day will not be included as part of your Pell Grant eligibility. Any classes added after that day will not be eligible for Pell Grant funds, but may still be counted for Federal Direct Loan eligibility purposes.

Note: Classes for which you are on the waitlist are not counted as part of your enrollment.

If Your First Registration Activity is Jan. 28, 2014
If you are registering for the first time after Jan. 28, 2014, your Census Date will be the date of your initial enrollment. NOTE: This only applies to students who have no registration activity on or before Jan. 28, 2014. If you initially registered before Jan. 28, 2014 but dropped those courses, your Census Date will remain Jan. 28, 2014.

The Financial Aid Census Date only applies to Pell Grant funds. Eligibility for Federal Direct Loan funds is based on enrollment of at least six (6) credit hours and is not impacted by date of enrollment.
