Hawks finish national tournament in 6th place

The Hawks concluded their run in the NJCAA national championship tournament with a 6th place finish, losing their final game to #1 seed Davidson-Davie in double overtime. The final score was 110-102.

Update, March 24:

The Hawks rebounded from their Thursday loss to beat Niagara County on Friday, 107-96. They will now play in the 5th-place game on Saturday, March 25 at 3:00 Eastern Time, 2:00 Central.

After a tough loss to Orange County, 102-87 in the tournament's second round, the Hawks play Niagara County on Friday, March 24, at 2:00 EST.

The #3 men's Hawks won their first tournament game against #14 Arkansas State Mid-South, 83-74.

The Hawks' next game in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament is March 23 at 7:00 p.m. EST (6:00 p.m. CST). They will play Orange County.

The Great Lakes District B Champion, MCCAA Champion Hawks Men's Basketball team is headed to the NJCAA National Championship Tournament in Danville, IL, as the nation's #3-seeded team.

The National Championship Tournament is a double-elimination, 16-team format.

Three teams from Michigan made the 16-team national field: #3 seed HFC, #8 seed Macomb Community College, and #10 seed Mott Community College.

Hawks’ first game, March 21

The Hawks’ first game is Tuesday, March 21 vs. Arkansas State University Mid-South, noon Eastern time (11:00 a.m. Central Time).

Looks like this game will be at 8:00 p.m. EST on Thursday.
