Domestic Violence Awareness 101 training Oct. 18

HFC is hosting a Domestic Violence Awareness 101 training workshop on Tuesday, Oct. 18, from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. First Step, a non-profit working to eliminate domestic and sexual violence in Michigan, will lead a training session on domestic violence. Topics to be covered include:

  • Intimate partner violence
  • Forms of abuse
  • Traits of an abuser
  • Facts vs. myths
  • Why survivors may stay in or go back to an abusive relationship
