Curbside pickup or shipping of Fall textbooks now available
The HFC College Store is now offering curbside pickup, in addition to a shipping option, for online orders placed for Fall 2020. There is no additional charge for the pickup service.
Shipping option
Students who want their books shipped to their homes via UPS will be charged $7.99 shipping per order, regardless of the number of books ordered.

After you have placed your order for shipping, you cannot change the order to a pick-up order.

If you wish to pick up your books on campus, follow this procedure:

After you have placed your order for pickup, you cannot change the order to be shipped to you.Wait until you receive email notification that your order is ready for pickup. It may take us up to 48 business hours to process your order, based on the volume of orders received. We do not process orders on weekends and holidays.
After you receive notification that your order is ready, choose a day when you want to do the pickup. You can pick up your books from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Fill out the student health pre-screening form.
After filling out the pre-screening form, drive to the North entrance to the College.
Bring your cell phone and your order number; you will need these to call the College Store once you arrive.
Wear your face mask.
Your temperature will be taken by the campus entrance screening team.
There will be six reserved curbside pickup parking spots in Parking Lot #3 near the College Store. Park in one of these spots.
When you arrive in one of the designated spots, call 313-317-6585. Tell them you have arrived to pick up your textbook order.
We will ask for your name, order number, and the make/model/color of your vehicle.
You will remain in your vehicle, and your order will be delivered to your car. We will ask you to open your trunk or cargo area to limit contact, so we can drop off your books in your car.
For safety reasons, we are not able to provide curbside pickup to pedestrians or those using public transportation. You must arrive on campus via the north entrance in a vehicle.
