The mission of the Communications Division at Henry Ford College (HFC) is to empower students to become more inquisitive scholars, engaged citizens, critical thinkers, discerning media consumers, and articulate, ethical communicators.
The Communications Divisions cultivates students’ capacity for creative and analytic thinking and proficiency in research and rhetoric, all grounded in a solid foundation of language, information and media literacy, spoken/written communication, and global awareness. It develops students’ interpersonal, professional, and media communications skills for active community and workplace participation, as well as encourages an appreciation of culture and diversity through the study of languages and literature.
On campus, the Communications Division fosters collegiality and thoughtfully balances innovation and tradition.
