Why should I choose this program?
HFC's Pharmacy Technician Program will provide you with the necessary education to work under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
With the power of today’s drugs, the pharmacy technician must be detailed-oriented, accurate, and precision-minded. With each prescription, someone’s life might be at stake. If these qualities describe you, then a career as a certified, licensed pharmacy technician would be right for you.
The Pharmacy Technician Program continues to be fully accredited by the American Society of Health System Pharmacists (ASHP). The learning environment includes the combination of classroom and hands-on laboratory activities. This provides the opportunity to acquire the necessary pharmacy skills to work in a variety of pharmacy environments. The graduates of the program are highly sought after by employers in Southeastern Michigan.
The Henry Ford College Pharmacy Technician program benefits from free educational use of PioneerRx Pharmacy Software. This software provides hands-on experiences that simulate the environment and tools our students may expect to encounter while working in a pharmacy.
