Why should I choose this program?
Our program will help you develop good practice skills, grow in your understanding and appreciation of dance as an art form, and pursue dance as a possible career choice. Through our classes, you will improve your dance skill, fitness, body awareness and control, and you will develop the foundation to pursue industry career options or further education at a four-year college or university program.
We provide technique classes in ballet, modern (contemporary), jazz, tap and beginning choreography. Through these classes you can improve key fitness components, including strength, flexibility, balance and coordination, and develop creative and aesthetic qualities such as expressiveness and grace. You may also audition for our Full Circle Dance Company, where you will have the opportunity to perform and choreograph for festivals, observe other college dance students and professional company performances, take master classes, engage in service learning and outreach programs, and participate in study trips.
Students interested in this program may apply to the Liberal Arts Associate in Arts degree and select the Dance pathway.
