Kathryn Fitzner, M.A.

Kathryn Fitzner has been an instructor at HFC for more than 13 years. After earning a her undergraduate degree in Business Administration, she worked as an accountant for several years. In 1989, she joined the Peace Corps as a volunteer teacher in Samoa, where she discovered her passion for teaching. After completing her graduate degree in Teaching from Wayne State University, she began working as a secondary school computer instructor and technology coordinator.

Fitzner became involved with the Cisco Networking Academy program in 1999. In addition, she provides training and support to instructors and academies throughout the Midwest and has presented at numerous academy conferences both locally and nationally. She is a certified CISCO Instructor Trainer and holds several IT certifications including CCENT, CCNA, Network+ and Security+.
