The following are a sampling of key courses that are a part of the Business Administration program.

  • In BLW 253 Business Law and the Legal Environment, students learn about the legal environment in which businesses function. Topics covered include the American Legal System, contract law, commercial transactions, business organizations, and torts.

  • In the economics series BEC-152, students learn about the economic forces that affect a business, both on the micro level and the macro level. In microeconomics, students learn about the interaction of supply and demand and how markets develop.

  • In the economics series BEC-151, students learn about the economic forces that affect a business. In macroeconomics, students learn how to measure the performance of the overall economy and the factors that can change it.

  • In the accounting series BAC 131 and BAC 132 students learn how to use accounting techniques to measure the performance of a business and how to make decisions based on that information.

  • In BBA-131 Introduction to Business students get an overview of the business world. It introduces students to the organization of a business and the various functions within like management, marketing, accounting, and finance.
