Academic calendar dates may change at the discretion of the College.
Course attendance requirements
As a student, you are expected to attend the courses for which you register. If you do not attend classes and do not officially drop those classes, faculty are required to notify the office of Registration and Records and the office of Financial Aid.
The office of Records and Registration will mark you as “never attended,” and you will not be permitted to attend or re-register for classes.
The office of Financial Aid will rescind your financial aid award, and you will have to pay back any funds that were allocated.
Dropping classes
If you decide not to attend a course, please drop that course before the deadline! If you stop attending and do not formally drop a course, you will be charged the full tuition amount for that course. Also, you will either receive a "W" on your transcript (if you drop after the drop deadline but before the W deadline), or you will receive a failing grade (if you do not drop before the W deadline), which will appear on your transcript and will be factored into your GPA.
For courses that are less than 8 weeks in duration: If you drop a class BEFORE the course begins, you will receive a 100% tuition refund. However, once the course begins, you will receive NO refund. Any financial aid allocated will have to be repaid.
Payment
You will need to pay for your courses before the deadlines, meet the financial aid priority dates, or enroll in the EZ Pay payment plan. If your courses are not paid by the deadline, you will be de-registered and will not be permitted to re-register or attend those courses during the same semester. See payment options.
