For the second consecutive year, Matthew Corbitt of Dearborn Heights was the recipient of the Garden Club of Dearborn Scholarship at Henry Ford Community College (HFCC). Corbitt is enrolled in the College's new biotechnology program, working towards an Associates Degree. The Scholarship is funded each year from such Garden Club of Dearborn activities as the Holly Berry Luncheon, scheduled for December 5 at the Dearborn Inn, and other Club fund raisers and activities.

Apply for HFCC Scholarship from Oct. 1, 2009 - March 1, 2010.
Scholarships will be awarded after March 1, 2010. If you are chosen to receive a scholarship at that time, it will be used for the 2010 - 2011 academic year.

The Henry Ford Community College Foundation believes in rewarding academic excellence through scholarships. Scholarships are made possible through the generous support of Foundation donors...such as the Garden Club of Dearborn, Don and Mary Kosch, and MemberFocus Community Credit Union...as well as businesses in the area who fund specific scholarship at HFCC such as the Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship or the Marathon Petroleum Michigan Refining Division Scholarship in Process Technology.
