Survey of the Social Sciences is an interdisciplinary area which introduces students to the scientific study of human social behavior. The primary course, SSC 131 – Survey of the Social Sciences, includes a range of approaches in the various social sciences. Topics of the course include the scientific method and the historical development of human societies, culture, educational and political institutions, religion, social class and racial/ethnic inequality.
