Michigan Student Political Issues Convention 2007
This year's student political issues convention will once again focus the students primary concerns. This year as in the past we are opening the discourse to our colleagues and their students across the United States. Additionally, the Michigan Student Political Issues Convention will be part of a larger discourse on global issues where we are encourging our colleagues and their community of students and others to engage with us in the development of a Global Issues Agenda.
During the Month of November (Global Issues Month) students from HFCC and our partnering institutions will engage in continued discussion of the most pressing global concerns. By the end of November the students will have developed a consensus political agenda for 2008. This will be a short-list of concerns that those in positions of political power and those running for office will be encouraged to find solutions.
